It’s super easy to make and fun all year round. Kids can open and close a small part of an apple to see the hidden worm.

Today’s craft is contagious – a little worm sticking out of an apple; a silly supper and a super fun craft to share with friends, huh?
And once you are done, you can also print and color the fruit coloring pages.
When we see it, it makes us smile.
And we can’t stop playing with it.
It’s not fun to find a moving worm inside a real apple, but it’s super fun when you turn it into a craft.

How to Make a Worm in Apple Paper Craft
What do you need:
red card or red color paper
light orange card stock or light orange colored paper
Cotter pin
neon pink colored paper
pale pink colored paper
white paper
black lining
brown card stock or brown colored paper
glue
circle puncher
circular object (we used a small glass)
ruler with circle shapes
pencil
the scissors
Step by step tutorial
On the red card stock, draw an apple shape.
Cut.
Draw an apple stem on the brown card stock.
Cut.
Glue the stem to the apple.
Take the circular object and draw two circles – one on the red card stock and one on the pale orange card stock.
Cut out the circles.
Drill a circle on the left side of the apple.
Apply some glue to the back of the apple, around the edges of the hole.
Do not apply glue to the lower part of the hole. Leave this space without glue.
Glue the pale orange circle to the back of the apple.
Push a cotter pin through the red circle, then through the apple as well. Now split the ends of the pin.
Make sure the red circle completely covers the hole.
The back of the apple should look like this.
Check if the mechanism works.
Draw pink circles on both the neon pink paper and the pale pink paper.
Cut them out.
To make the worm, arrange and glue these circles together as shown.
Your worm is almost complete.
Draw two small eyes and cut them out.
We really like using googly eyes for the worm, but they break the mechanism. So we go there with flat eyes.
Glue the eyes to the worm’s head.
Put some glue on the back of the worm and stick the worm inside the apple.
Finished!
